Lindsay Lohan was born on July 2, 1986 in New York City. Lindsay is an American actress, model and pop music singer. Lindsay was born to parents Michael Douglas Sr. and Donata Sullivan. Lindsay has three younger siblings: Michael Jr, Aliana and Dakota, all of them were child models. Lindsay has Irish and Italian descent. Their parents raised them in Merrick and Cold Spring Harbor on Long Island in New York.
Lindsay Lohan who has green eyes and auburn hair began her carreer with Ford Modeling Agency or Ford Models and acting at age three. Then her talent was recognized by people in the business and they hired her. Her first auditions for television work did not go well enough. Later, she tried out for a Duncan Hines commercial and she did go well. Lindsay Lohan went on to appear in over sixty television commercials, including spots for Pizza Hut, Wendy's, and Jell-O. Lindsay also modeled for Calvin Klein Kids and Abercrombie Kids.
Lindsay's ad work led her to roles in soap operas. Then in 1996, Lindsay made her acting debut as Alexandra "Alli" Fowler in the television drama, Another World. But she gave up when the director Nancy Meyers cast her to play the dual roles of the estranged twin sisters in the 1998 remake of The Parent Trap. The Parent Trap was received well enough for a family comedy, bringing in USD 92 million worldwide.
She starred in two television movies, Life-Size in 2000 with Tyra Banks and Get a Clue in 2002. She also played as Bette Midler's daughter in the first episode of the short-lived series, Bette in 2000, but Lohan, quit when the movie production moved from New York to Los Angeles. Then in 2001, she hosted the ABC-TV commercial series commemorating Walt Disney's 100th birthday during a rebroadcast of The Parent Trap. Lohan was voted at #10 on the list of 100 Sexiest Women by readers of FHM. Maxim magazine placed her at #3 on its 2006 Hot 100 list. In 2007, she was placed at #1 on the Maxim Hot 100.
In her spare time, Lindsay enjoys swimming, basketball, shopping, singing, reading, writing, gymnastics, collecting Beanie Babies, roller-blading, and playing with her siblings Ali Lohan, Dakota and Michael Lohan.
